Please select all volunteer opportunities you are interested in: Advocacy Counselor Volunteer: Advocacy counselors work directly with clients in a variety of maners (answering 24-hour helpline, legal assistance, in-person meetings, etc.). Volunteers are required to attend our 42-hour training program. The training program schedule can be found on the main "How to Volunteer" page. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old and able to pass a criminal background check. Children's Program Volunteer: Children's Program volunteers assist during our children's groups. Groups are 2 hours each and are held at various times throughout the week. Volunteers are encouraged to attend the 42-hour direct service training program, however, a separate 3-hour training program, arranged at a mutually convenient time with the Children's Program Coordinator, is available for those who are unable to do so. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old and able to pass a criminal background check. Administrative Volunteer: Assistance is needed answering phones, preparing mailings, and assisting with other administrative tasks. Volunteers will be required to attend a short training with an administrative staff person at a mutually convenient time. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old and able to pass a criminal background check.
